WATCH: Official trailer for new 'Rocky' movie 'Creed' released

Michael B. Jordan running through South Philly reminiscent of original film

The upcoming continuation of the "Rocky" film series has its first trailer, as Warner Brothers released the official teaser for "Creed" on Tuesday evening.

The film, set for a November release, stars Sylvester Stallone in his original role as Rocky Balboa and Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Johnson Creed, son of former fictional World Heavyweight Champion Apollo Creed.

In the movie, Jordan's character travels to Philly to be trained by Balboa. Much of the film has been shot in Philadelphia, including filming locations at Temple University, South Philly and Kensington.

Towards the end of the trailer, which does not reveal much else about the plot, Jordan can be seen running through the streets of South Philly in a scene that's reminiscent of the famous sequence in the original film.
