A Pennsylvania police department has released dashcam video of a suspect shooting at a police officer in an attempt to arrest the man.

According to the Northern York County Regional Police Department, Officer Lynn Anderson stopped a car in Manchester Township around 10 p.m. on Nov. 22 for suspected DUI.

When he walked up to the car, Anderson detected a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, police say.

Anderson asked the suspect, 24-year-old Trev Bowies Jackson of York City, to step out of the car.

In the video, Jackson can be seen stepping out of the car and immediately drawing a weapon, firing several shots at the officer.

According to police, Jackson got off three rounds and Anderson returned fire. A video of the encounter is below (Warning: Video contains graphic material):

Anderson was not injured by the gunfire and did not require medical treatment, but did suffer facial injuries.

Jackson was driving a 1994 green Buick sedan with Pennsylvania license plate number JVZ-6735.

He is described as a black male standing 5'7" tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a tan hooded jacket, and is believed to have an injured left hand that may still be bandaged.

Jackson has been charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
