November 28, 2017
The holiday season is in full swing as we approach the end of 2017, and while few people are looking forward to the cold weather, there is at least one benefit to the month ahead: eye candy.
As December rolls in, Christmas lights will start to adorn homes and landmarks around the country. Philadelphians are accustomed to dazzling displays along Boathouse Row and in Center City, but if you'd like to be a tourist about this year's lights, there's a great option that's just a 90-minute road trip away from the city.
The Daily Meal recently revealed its top 10 small towns for Christmas lights in the United States. Listed among that hallowed group is Koziar's Christmas Village in Bernville, Berks County.
The Koziar Christmas Village of Bernville, Pennsylvania, showcases a magnificent display of lights that are further enhanced by the reflective glow of the lake in the town. Over the years, this small Christmas village has grown in notoriety as word of their lights has spread, drawing attention from visitors near and far.
Bernville's Blue Marsh Lake has become a popular place to take photos during the month of December, building on a tradition that will mark its 70th year in 2017.
