Police: Man stabbed teen girlfriend in North Philadelphia

Suspect in custody after witnesses report stabbing

Philadelphia police are investigating after a man allegedly stabbed his teenage girlfriend in North Philadelphia Friday night.

According to authorities, the stabbing occurred at 9:50 p.m. Friday night on the 6700 block of Musgrave Street, NBC 10 reports.

Police arrived to find the teenage girl suffering from a stab wound to the stomach. Witnesses reportedly told police the girl's boyfriend was responsible for the attack.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Einstein Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

The suspect, a 26-year-old man, was taken into custody following the incident. He was not identfied and no charges have been filed.
