A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night in a hit-and-run that took place along the 900 block of North Delaware Avenue in Fishtown.
Police said the 24-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, stepped off the curb and started running east toward the Roxxy night club,
Philly.com reports. A car speeding north in the center lane then hit him and continued without stopping.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene when medics arrived shortly before 11:00 p.m.
