A police officer was stabbed in South Philadelphia Saturday night, according to reports.

According to NBC Philadelphia, the Tinicum Township officer was working as a transport when he dropped off a man at the Holiday Inn at 10th Street and Packer Avenue around 8:20 p.m.

A fight occurred in the hotel parking lot when the officer was stabbed in the arm.

 He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where he was treated and is listed in stable condition. 

An arrest has been made as an investigation is ongoing.
