The Philadelphia Police are hoping the public can help identify two men who, police said, are responsible for an assault, robbery and carjacking that occurred in the city's Port Richmond neighborhood on Christmas Eve.

According to police, the incident happened on Dec. 24 at about 5:10 a.m., after a 32-year-old male had exited his vehicle in the parking lot of the Quick Stop convenience store located at 3000 Kensington Avenue.

At that time, police said, a man, described as a black male, with a light complexion, standing about 6 feet, 1 inch and weighing 220 pounds, with a stocky build, beard and wearing a black T-shirt, and gray sweatpants, at the time, approached and began punching the victim.

Once the victim ran off, the first suspect entered the victim’s silver 2001 Buick LeSabre, and police said, it was last scene headed north on Kensington Avenue.

Police said the victim was taken to Temple Episcopal Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
