Drink cider and wine at festival in Lehigh Valley ballpark

There will be between 15 and 20 participating cider and wine vendors

The recent heat wave has many thinking past the last weeks of summer and focusing on fall weather, fall activities and fall treats. The 2016 Lehigh Valley Cider and Wine Festival has already announced a date and opened registration. It will take place for two days beginning on Oct. 22.

Tickets for the festival are $35 for general admission and $45 for VIP, with an extra hour to enjoy the event. An early bird discount of $5 is available through Aug. 24 on both ticket categories.

Attendees to the fall event will enjoy a tasting from 1-5 p.m. (VIP entry begins at noon) at Allentown's Coca-Cola Park. There will be between 15 and 20 cider and wine vendors providing tastings, along with selling by the glass, bottle and case.

Food and crafts from local food trucks, vendors and artisans will also be on-site. Live entertainment will be provided through the event, and there might even be an apple launch competition.
