Atlantic City police warn of potentially bad batch of heroin

Atlantic City police are alerting the public about a potentially bad batch of heroin circulating near the shore and resulting in a flurry of overdoses and deaths.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, police said they have seen an increase in heroin overdoses in the last week, with at least six people dying. Between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m on Jan. 25, officers responded to six overdoses, two of which ended up being fatal. The four other individuals were revived after being administered Narcan, police said.

This particular batch may be stamped with "King of Death," which was on the bags responsible for at least two of the fatal overdoses.

The police reminded the public that all heroin can be deadly.
