Those who visit the website christie-2016.com are met with this image.

A new website, appearing initially to be in support of Chris Christie for president, redirects to Donald Trump's homepage and mocks the New Jersey governor.

Those who click the link for christie-2016.com are met with a picture of the Republican side-by-side with President Barack Obama -- a not-so-veiled reference to an infamous hug -- and "Chris Christie?" along with "You can do better, America."

The website provides a link to Republican front-runner Donald Trump's campaign page.

The site does not say that it is run by Trump's campaign. A phone number listed for the domain name on whois.com directs to a company that manages multiple websites, and a representative said the owner of christie-2016.com has paid to keep their information private.

If Christie really wants control of the site he can pay $3,000 on GoDaddy.com, which is the domain service that the page was registered through.

Currently, Trump is far ahead of Christie nationally. The latest poll average from RealClearPolitics shows the real estate mogul polling at 36.2 percent and the governor at 3.7 percent.
