Eagles cut a few guys

The Philadelphia Eagles continued to make cuts on Thursday to make room for their eventual undrafted free agent signings, which have not yet been announced.

The three players who got released:

FB Andrew Bonnet: Those of you who have pined for a fullback will continue to pine.

OG Josh LeRibeus: LeRibeus was a third round pick (71st overall) of the Redskins in 2012. He has appeared in 28 games over his career, starting 12, 11 of which were in 2015. He was released by the Redskins at final cuts in 2016, and was unable to latch on with another team. The Eagles signed him at the beginning of the 2017 offseason to a futures contract. He lasted one minicamp.

RB Terrell Watson: Watson is a great story who had 9 carries for 28 yards and a TD in the Eagles' meaningless 2016 finale against the Cowboys. At 6'1, 240, Watson was thought of by some as a guy who could compete for a job with the team this year, seeing as the Eagles do not have a bigger back who can reliably pound the rock in short yardage situations, assuming Ryan Mathews is eventually released. Apparently not.

The Eagles' roster now sits at 80.

(Apologies for our semi-lateness on this. I wasn't canceling dinner plans because the Eagles cut Josh LeRibeus.)
