The Flying Carpet Cafe & Bar will close out its four-year run this weekend.

Flying Carpet Cafe & Bar is flying right out of the neighborhood, according to Facebook.

The bar, located at 19th and Poplar streets and an off-the-radar staple for Fairmount residents, announced via Facebook Friday morning that its last day of business will be Saturday night. It will open for final rounds of drinks at 5 p.m. and will essentially close when it runs out of alcohol.

As part of the closing, the bar is offering 20 percent off beer, wine and cocktails on Friday; it will offer 50 percent off all drinks on Saturday, with wine bottles priced at $20.

The space was opened by Kevin Young in March 2011, serving Mediterranean food, New Hope wines and National brand vodka, a premium liquor from Russia. Aside from being a neighborhood hangout, it was also a popular space for LGBT people.

Soar on over while you still can, folks.
