There are plenty of tips out there on ways to increase your productivity. But what about what not to do?

Knowing the habits to avoid can actually help you channel the energy you need to do the things you should be doing.

Just as creating a "to-do" list can be a good way to take steps toward a goal, making a "not-to-do" list may help you focus on the more important tasks.

Here are some not-to-do tips from Entrepreneur.com.

Avoid pushing off emails to deal with later. You will only end up wasting time rereading them when you could handle it right away and move on. 

Don't hold a meeting just to meet. It can prove to be an inefficient use of time if there is nothing vital to discuss. And if the meeting is necessary, be sure to stick to an agenda.

Limit the push notifications from apps on your phone. The constant buzzing or pinging of your phone can prove to be a real distraction.
