Apparent heroin overdoses leave 1 dead, 5 hospitalized in Camden County

Victims were taken to Cooper University Hospital

A 39-year-old man who died in Camden County on Wednesday was among six people who apparently overdosed on heroin during the course of the day, authorities said.

According to the Courier-Post, five overdoses were reported between 7:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., while a sixth was reported shortly after 2:40 p.m. All of the victims were taken to Cooper University Hospital.

The 39-year-old man who died was from Lawndale, while the other victims included a 23-year-old woman from Bordentown, a 45-year-old woman from Lawnside, a 47-year-old Camden man, a 43-year-old woman from National Park, and a 29-year-old man whose address was not available.
