Hilton at Penn's Landing to host wine and dinner pairing series

Winemakers will lead the dinners

Penn's Landing is located in Center City alongside the Delaware River.

The Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing will host a wine and dinner pairing series beginning March 4. Each dinner will be prepared by the waterfront hotel's Executive Chef George Gilfesis and will be hosted by a winemaker. 

There will be two dinners in the series with tickets limited to 55 seats per event. Reservations can be made by calling (215) 521-6555.

Elk Cove Wine Pairing

The first event, taking place on March 4 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. will feature Elk Cove Vineyards. Winemaker Adam Campbell will lead the dinner, presenting a riesling and three pinot noirs.

Chef Gilfesis will prepare grilled shrimp, seared Ahi tuna with watermelon, French lamb chops and a dessert trio.

Silver Oak Cellars Wine Pairing

On March 22, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Hilton Penn’s Landing will feature Silver Oak Cellars and their director of winemaking, Daniel BaronThe winery cultivates cabernet sauvignon wines.

Dinner will feature seared duck breast and veal chops paired with vintages of Silver Oak’s Alexander and Napa Valley cabernets. Pinot noirs and merlots from the winery's newer venture, Twomey Cellars, will also be served.
