The Second City: 65th Anniversary Tour
Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia proudly presents the improv comedy group The Second City for two shows at the Live! Event Center on Saturday, July 26. The group is celebrating 65 years of legendary laughs by showcasing some of the group’s most iconic songs and sketches. The show will feature material written by some of Second City’s famous alumni like Tina Fey, Bill Murray, Stephen Colbert, and more. The Second City: 65th Anniversary Tour promises an unforgettable night of laughter.

Drawing inspiration from the pioneering improvisational games of Viola Spolin, The Second City opened its doors in Chicago in December of 1959, sparking a comedy revolution. Co-founded by Bernie Sahlins, Howard Alk, and Spolin’s son Paull Sills, the small cabaret theater quickly evolved into the world’s most influential and prolific comedy empire. Known for its innovative approach to creating art, The Second City has created generation after generation of comedic talent.
The Second City’s original productions seamlessly blend sketch and improv, offering sharp satire, unexpected humor, and a one-of-a-kind experience with each performance.
