Night Nation Run combines music festival with running

Dance your way to the finish line

The Night Nation Run is a 5K nighttime run with lasers, live music and neon lights. All the fun of a music festival is combined with an illuminated racecourse. The event will take place on Saturday, May 14, but registration is now open.

Talen Energy Stadium, the home of the Philadelphia Union, will host the event. The stadium is located just 5 miles south of Philadelphia International Airport.

Participants are invited to run, walk or dance to the finish line. Along the way, there will be multiple DJ stages, finally finishing at a main stage party with guest DJs and performers. Selfie-stations, light shows, dance performances and glow-gear giveaways will be scattered along the course, as well.

The first round of runners will take off at 8 p.m., with additional groups departing every few minutes. The race is not a timed event.

Registration for the fun run begins at $29.
