Bruce Springsteen performs in concert with the E Street Band during “The River Tour 2016” at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, in Philadelphia.

Former President Barack Obama is still planning out his presidential library but already knows who's invited.

The Obamas revealed plans last week for what will eventually become the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, where in addition to a museum and library, there are plans for film and recording studios for Chicago's youth to cultivate their creative skills.

Obama hopes to have some big names come through the center to host talks, including New Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen, according to CNN

He said that the center will include "a studio where I can invite Spike Lee or Stephen Spielberg to come and do workshops on how to make films around the stories that young activists are working on," in addition to "a music recording studio where I can invite Chance (the Rapper) or Bruce Springsteen, depending on your taste, to come here and talk about how you can record music that has social commentary and meaning," according to the news site.

The presidential library is expected to cost as much as $1.5 billion and won't be completed until 2021. It'll be built in Chicago's Jackson Park and will create more than 200 jobs.

It's no surprise that Obama would extend an invite to The Boss so soon. The former president awarded Springsteen the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the "highest civilian honor," back in November, while Springsteen played a secret "thank you" show for Obama before he left office.

As far as social commentary is concerned, Springsteen certainly hasn't kept his feelings toward President Donald Trump quiet.

Springsteen offered up his own political opinions during shows in Australia earlier this year, and he and musician Joe Grushecky recently released an anti-Trump theme song called, "That's What Makes Us Great."

Obama and Springsteen have also been spotted on vacation together off the coast of Tahiti.
