Participate in a superhero-themed 5k race at the Navy Yard

Capes are included, must bring own superpowers

The Super Run Philadelphia 5k will take off from the Navy Yard on June 11. The family-friendly race is part of a national series that partners with nonprofit organizations to raise funds.

The race is not timed and children are invited to join in by running, walking or being pushed in a stroller. Only participants who are registered, however, will receive a bib, cape to run in and a finisher medal.

Capes will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis during packet pick-up. On June 10, from 4-8 p.m., packets can be picked up from Road Runner Sports Cherry Hill, located at 921 Haddonfield in Cherry Hill, NJ.

There will also be day-of packet pick-up, but advanced pick-up is recommended to score your favorite color superhero cape.

Registration is $40 for individual runners and will be $45 day-of.
