Person struck, killed by Amtrak train in Delaware County

A person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Wednesday night in Delaware County, CBSPhilly reports.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. near East Glenolden Avenue and Willow Way in Glenolden. 

The train, which was traveling from Washington, D.C. to New York, struck the victim on the tracks. The victim has not yet been identified.

No passengers or crew members were injured, officials said.

The Wilmington/Newark line was delayed after the incident. Service has since been restored to normal.

The incident remains under investigation.
