UPDATE (7/12/17): The death of a woman found inside a vehicle at Wendy's on Tuesday afternoon was caused by a medical condition and is no longer deemed suspicious, Philadelphia police said Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the police department's public affairs office explained that the driver of the vehicle appears to have pulled over at Wendy's on the way to a local hospital. As the victim's condition worsened on the way to the hospital, the driver stopped to notify emergency personnel.

Philadelphia police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was found unresponsive Tuesday afternoon in the rear passenger seat of a car passing through a Wendy's drive-thru.

Authorities said the discovery was made around 2:30 p.m. at the Wendy's at 2301 Cottman Ave. near the Roosevelt Mall.
