'Bel-Air' renewed for fourth and final season on Peacock after leaving viewers on a cliffhanger

The fourth and final season of 'Bel-Air,' the gritty reimagining of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' is coming soon to Peacock, the streaming service announced. The show stars West Philly actor Jabari Banks as Will, who leaves Philly to live with his rich cousins in Bel-Air, and has Will Smith as an executive producer.

Mitchell & Ness to restock Princess Diana Eagles jacket Thursday

On Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m., Mitchell & Ness is restocking its kelly green Eagles jacket, which was inspired by one famously worn by Princess Diana in the 1990s. The sports apparel company originally sold the replica coats last November for $400 and they quickly sold out. The restocked jacket will be available to purchase online via the websites of Mitchell & Ness, Fanatics and the Eagles. A limited number of jackets will also be for sale at the Mitchell & Ness flagship store and Eagles Pro Shop.

Spotify Wrapped 2024 has been released, telling users of the streaming app what music they listened to most this year. Globally and in Philadelphia, Taylor Swift is the most-streamed artist and had the most-streamed album, and Sabrina Carpenter has the most-streamed song.

Amy's Pastelillos, Bastia make Esquire's 2024 list of 'best new restaurants in America'

Two Fishtown restaurants, Amy’s Pastelillos and Bastia, were included on Esquire's 2024 list of the 'best new restaurants in America.' Amy’s Pastelillos was opened by Amy Rivera Nassar in March at 2001 Memphis Street, and Bastia was opened by Tyler Akin in August in the Hotel Anna & Bel at 1401 E. Susquehanna Ave.

Car-free streets return near Rittenhouse Square on Dec. 8 and 15

Center City District is bringing back its open streets events on Sundays, Dec. 8 and 15. Between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., the sections of 18th Street from Locust to Chestnut streets and Walnut Street from 15th to 19th streets will be closed to traffic. During that time, pedestrians can stroll, socialize and shop at the businesses along the route. There will also be live music and kids activities.

PSPCA seeking person who shot dog in head in Southwest Philly

On Nov. 20, an injured male dog was found in Southwest Philadelphia after allegedly being shot in the head. The Pennsylvania SPCA is now seeking information on the people responsible.

Inflammatory bowel disease has become more common among American youth

More than 100,000 Americans under 20 have inflammatory bowel disease, which includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, new research shows. Mt. Joy is embarking on a 2025 tour, including two homecoming shows in Philadelphia at the TD Pavilion at the Mann on Friday, Sept. 26, and Saturday, Sept. 27. The general ticket sale begins Friday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m.

Philadelphia Museum of Art to offer free guided tours of new exhibition to local schools

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has launched a new initiative to provide local schools with free guided tours and bus funding for its fall exhibition, 'The Time is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure,' through Feb. 9. The initiative is available for K-12 students in the School District of Philadelphia and tristate area Title I schools.

Recalled cucumbers potentially linked with salmonella outbreak in 19 states

Cucumbers have been recalled by SunFed Produce, LLC, after being linked with a salmonella outbreak that has sickened people in 19 states, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The recalled SunFed products include all sizes of whole fresh American cucumbers sold between Oct. 12 and Nov. 26, according to the CDC. So far there have been 68 reported cases of illness in the salmonella outbreak.
