Way back in September, when the Philadelphia Eagles were lighting up the Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, and Pittsburgh Steelers, quarterback Carson Wentz was favored by Canadian-based Bovada.lv to win Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

We have no new obituaries this week, as the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears remain the only teams in the graveyard. Let's just get right to it.

Nelson Agholor isn't a good NFL receiver. You know it. I know it. The Eagles' coaching staff (probably) knows it. People who don't ever watch football and casually take in a game on occasion know it.

After watching incomplete passes literally all day (I may need a girlfriend), by my count, the Eagles have dropped 24 passes so far this season, which account for roughly 22 percent of Carson Wentz's incomplete passes. Dropped passes are of course a subjective statistic, so those numbers may vary from others', but here's the final tally.

A couple weeks ago, we took a way too early look at the Philadelphia Eagles' offseason needs, and determined that offensive tackle was at the top of the list. Doug Pederson described last week's matchup against the New York Giants as a "must win." And win they didn't. This week, sitting at 4-4 at the bottom of the NFC East, the Eagles will take on the Atlanta Falcons. Seeing as the Birds will travel to Seattle next week and have the hardest remaining schedule in the NFL, there is no longer all that much room for error if they are going to be playoff contenders.

For the second straight week, the Philadelphia Eagles will be down a pair of offensive line starters, in Lane Johnson (suspension) and Allen Barbre (hamstring). The Atlanta Falcons will be missing a few key players as well.

At 4-4, facing the prospect of being 4-5 and making the trip to Seattle to face the extremely tough Seahawks, the Philadelphia Eagles absolutely had to take care of business at home and beat the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. And that's exactly what they did.

As long as you're taking in some college football action this Saturday afternoon/evening, here are some players who could make some sense for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2017 NFL Draft.
