When the Eagles drafted Jaylen Watkins in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, they liked him because of his positional versatility. At the University of Florida, Watkins played outside corner, slot corner, and safety. He has also played all three spots so far in his short time in the NFL. By far, Watkins' biggest deficiency has been his tackling, or lack thereof.

Over the last two years, Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles was criminally misused in Chip Kelly's offense. It didn't really matter who was in the game -- whether that be DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, or Darren Sproles -- they were all used the same way in Kelly's hurry-up offense.

During pregame warmups prior to the Philadelphia Eagles' second preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Eagles punter Donnie Jones punted a football that struck Caleb Sturgis in the head, leaving him with a concussion.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson confirmed Monday morning that the Eagles are indeed signing linebacker Stephen Tulloch, who the team expects to arrive in Philly later tonight. Pederson also gave the first indications as to what Tulloch's role will be on the Eagles' defense, which was previously unclear.

Most Philadelphia Eagles fans know the story of Jason Peters, who entered the NFL as an undrafted tight end out of the University of Arkansas, before the Buffalo Bills decided that his best position would instead be at left tackle. The Eagles brought a similar project aboard this offseason, when they signed former LSU tight end Dillon Gordon, and converted him to an offensive tackle. Since Gordon's arrival, Peters has been a mentor.
