Jefferson Health will soon offer expanded services at its Navy Yard offices with the addition of a 70,000-square-foot facility focused on consumer-oriented healthcare for its patients in southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

A new multiyear lease with Liberty Property/Synterra at 3 Crescent Drive will feature a two-part vision for the growing health network, beginning with a multidisciplinary adult health and wellness center offering diagnostic, consultative, therapeutic and procedural services. The facility will house dedicated primary and complementary specialists as well as a full-service imaging suite and lab.

For the second phase of the expansion, Jefferson plans to launch destination and complementary programs with an ambulatory focus.

“Jefferson is proud of and very committed to our involvement with the Navy Yard,” said Larry Merlis, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Jefferson Health. “We look forward to realizing the tremendous opportunities for growth that the area presents, being a good neighbor to our fellow tenants as they continue to grow, and becoming a comprehensive healthcare provider at the Navy Yard.”

The goal of the expansion is to provide more localized service from major arteries including I-95 and I-76.

Jefferson first opened outpatient offices at the Navy Yard in 2010, launching a surgical center, primary care services and specialists in disciplines from urology to otolaryngology. In the years since, the hospital's presence has expanded to include a concussion center and clinicians specializing in family medicine, gynecology, dermatology, internal medicine and sleep disorders.
