YouTube stars and Philly natives Jeana Smith and Jesse Wellens announce they're taking a break from making videos and each other in their latest post.

YouTube stars and Philadelphians Jesse Wellens and Jeana Smith are calling it quits, at least for now.

The duo, both 33 and dating each other, posted a video for their 8 million-plus subscribers last week announcing that they were breaking up as a couple and taking a break from vlogging.

Wellens and Smith are well-known for their BFvsGF channel, where they post videos of themselves pranking each other and updates on their everyday lives, oftentimes in Philly, where they reside.

But in "A NEW CHAPTER" (the "hardest video they've ever had to make"), posted May 18, the couple said they're taking some time off from each other and from making videos, citing issues in their relationship and stress from creating the daily videos. You can watch the video, which has more than 5 million views as of Tuesday, below:

The announcement comes about six months after Wellens' mother was found dead in Upper Moreland Township. Wellens had said his mother, a Montgomery County resident, had depression and that other family members were concerned about her safety.

The couple were vague about their future plans but said both would resurface in making videos — possibly together — sometime in the near future.
