The girls, who haven't been identified or charged in the death of 16-year-old Amy Inita Joyner-Francis on April 21, which occurred in a bathroom at the school, have been taken out of the school since the incident.

An investigation by local and state police is underway to find out what caused Joyner-Francis' death and what led to the assault. Unconfirmed rumors suggest the fight may have been over a boy.

Wilmington Police Chief Bobby Cummings has publicly said there will be charges following a through investigation.
