Joel Embiid posted his first triple-double of the 2025-26 season in the Sixers' overtime win over the Houston Rockets on Thursday.
Joel Embiid (right ankle injury management) is probable for the Sixers' home game on Saturday afternoon against the New York Knicks, according to the team's initial injury report for the game unveiled on Friday that also lists Paul George (left knee injury management) as probable:

Embiid, who has played in 11 of the Sixers' last 13 games, has only missed contests during that stretch due to back-to-backs on the schedule. It has represented his best combination of health, availability and performance since his torn meniscus over two years ago. On the two-year anniversary of his 70-point game, Embiid recorded his first triple-double of the season Thursday and played 45 minutes in a thrilling and emotional overtime win over the Houston Rockets.
"There's no way I should ever play more minutes than Tyrese," Embiid joked in the presence of Maxey after the game.
Sixers head coach Nick Nurse said before Thursday's game that George had not experienced any setbacks with his left knee, but some soreness prevented him from playing in either leg of the team's recent back-to-back. George was quiet for much of Thursday's game, with his minutes limited by foul trouble, before rising to the occasion on both ends of the floor down the stretch.
