NFL Combine positional previews: Offensive guards and centers who could interest the Eagles

The first day of televised Combine workouts won't be for a week and a half, when running backs and offensive linemen will run through their drills on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Monday we previewed the running backs; Tuesday we took a look at some offensive tackles; today we'll cover the guards and centers.

Will one of the top three quarterback prospects make it to the Eagles at 13? (Part II)

A few weeks ago, we looked at the teams drafting ahead of the Eagles, and their likelihoods of picking a quarterback. Today, we'll take a look at the teams looming behind them, and who could potentially try to trade up ahead of the Eagles.

NFL Combine positional previews: Offensive tackles who could interest the Eagles

The Eagles are the only team in the NFL not to have drafted an offensive lineman over the last two years. That fact is extremely vexing, considering they had the oldest projected starting offensive line in the NFL this time last year.

Remember when the Eagles traded for Sam Bradford and fans nearly unanimously agreed it was dumb?

March 10, 2015 is a day that could live in Eagles Twitter infamy. That was of course the day that Chip Kelly traded Nick Foles, a second round pick in 2016, and a fourth round pick in 2015 to the Rams for Sam Bradford and a fifth round pick in 2015. By my count, there were 256 replies to the Eagles' announcement of the deal on Twitter. Only two people reacted positively.

A look at the Eagles' salary cap, and other notes

Among the most useful websites for any NFL fan is overthecap.com, which shows detailed breakdowns of every player contract in the league. This year, they are publishing offseason previews for each team. On Friday last week they turned their attention to the Eagles. Even if you don't agree with their recommendations on what the Eagles should do this offseason, it's a very in-depth look at their salary cap position.

NFL Combine positional previews: Running backs who could interest the Eagles

Running back is a very under-the-radar position of need for the Eagles in the 2016 draft. The Eagles don't have an obvious immediate need for a new back, but there's a decent chance that DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles will all be gone in 2017. The Eagles would be wise to draft and begin to groom a running back now. Here are five running backs competing at the 2016 Combine would might make sense.

Eagles should stay away from free agent wide receivers

The Eagles' wide receivers were bad in 2015. Apologies for pointing out this shocking revelation.

It feels a lot like the Eagles won't franchise tag Sam Bradford

Pederson has been the Eagles' head coach for less than a month, so I'm not sure that I or anyone else can claim to have a great read on him in an interview setting, in terms of being able to strip away the "BS" from the truth. However, his comments sound a lot like a guy who already knows Bradford is going to be able to test the open market in March.

'Oh, the Places You'll Throw,' a children's book about Sam Bradford

On one fine day in March, Chip called up the Rams. A trade was commenced, the green Iggles had Sam. Oh, the places you'll throw. The fans surely won't boo. Even if the steep cost was Nick Foles and a two.
