How the rest of the NFC East did in the NFL Draft: Giants edition

Now that we've had a chance to digest what the Eagles did in the 2015 NFL Draft, let's take a peek at the other teams in the NFC East and see what new presents they got. Earlier, we looked at the Redskins. Now we'll move onto the Giants.

Eagles' failure to add quality offensive line help the last two offseasons could be disastrous

By the end of the 2015 regular season, the Eagles' projected starting offensive line of Jason Peters, Evan Mathis, Jason Kelce, Allen Barbre, and Lane Johnson will average 30.4 years of age. That is the oldest projected starting offensive line in the NFL.

Eagles draft grade roundup

As we noted yesterday after the draft concluded, there's a feeling that you can never really evaluate a draft class until three years have gone by, but that's not going to stop me and my media ilk from judging the draft less than a day after it has wrapped up. Personally, I prefer the more scientific smiley face grade approach, but let's take a look at some of the guys who doled out letter grades.

Let's meet the Eagles' undrafted free agents

When the final selection, AKA "Mr. Irrelevant," is made, that is not the end of the draft to NFL teams. That is when the flurry of activity begins during the undrafted free agency process. The Eagles signed 15 undrafted free agents, which the team announced late last night.

Eagles select Boston College DE Brian Mihalik in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft

After selecting a wide receiver with their first round pick, the Eagles went defense, defense, defense, defense, and defense from there on out. With their seventh round pick, they selected Boston College DE Brian Mihalik, who fits the "Bigger people beat up little people" mantra, at 6'9, 295.

Eagles trade 4th round pick; OL may not be adequately addressed for second straight year

One of the clearest need areas on the Eagles roster is youth and depth along their offensive line. The Eagles have three projected starters over the age of 30, and as of right now, they have the oldest projected starting offensive line in the NFL. It was imperative that they added youth and depth to that unit in this draft, but for the second consecutive year, they may have failed to do so.
