Three teenagers are in custody for their alleged connection to a shooting that occurred behind Archbishop Ryan High School in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police say Jonathan Rojas, 16, of Camden, and Joshua Sanchez, 18, of Gloucester, were arrested Sunday after officers stopped them near the 3800 block of Elmore Place for fitting the description of two of the assailants.

On Tuesday, Charlie Rolon, 18, of Bustleton, was also arrested. All three have been charged as adults with criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, violation of the uniform firearms act and related offenses.

The incident unfolded at the woods neighboring the baseball field on Academy Road near the school when the 17-year-old male victim -- who was hanging out with some friends -- was approached by two males, police say.

The two suspects asked the victim about buying drugs, but the victim said he didn't know who they were and hostile words were exchanged, according to authorities.

That's when police say the two suspects moved away and called someone, informing the person of their location.

Shortly thereafter, another male arrived with a black handgun. He pointed the gun at the victim and began making threats, according to authorities.

A fight broke out, according to police, and the gun was fired, striking the victim in the leg. The three males fled, police say.

The victim was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital where he was last listed in stable condition.
