Explore Morris Arboretum's collection of hollies.

Get your heart pumping with something as simple as walking. A brisk walk in nature is a good way to fit in your daily exercise and beat the winter blues.

You could head to a local park, or take in your neighborhood's sights, but if you would rather meet with a group and explore a new area, then consider heading to Morris Arboretum.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, and Jan. 26, there will be a special winter walking tour at 2 p.m., where a guide will point out winter greenery and the arboretum's collection of hollies. Through the 92-acre grounds, you'll see plenty of green to blue-green leaves, as well as some flowers and colorful berries.

Interested but can't make the dates? Morris Arboretum also offers Winter Wellness Walks on Saturday and Sunday afternoons in January and February. There's no theme, but a guide still leads a brisk walk along the paved paths.

During the winter months, there's a discount on admission to Morris Arboretum. The price is $14 for adults and seniors, and $5 for kids, students and military.
