Modeled after Milan’s La Scala opera house, Philadelphia’s 1865 Academy of Music is a performing and architectural landmark on the Avenue of the Arts.
The Young Friends of the Academy of Music, a young professionals' group dedicated to preserving the beautiful 150-year-old building, will host its annual fundraising event on Friday, Oct. 30. Yes, that's right, the 5th Annual Monsters Ball Masquerade falls right on Mischief Night this year, making it the perfect time for a Halloween bash.
It will all take place at The Exchange at the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia from 8-11 p.m. All proceeds from the event, for which PhillyVoice is a media partner, go right to supporting the National Historic Landmark's upkeep. Guests are encouraged to get in the holiday spirit by adding their best masquerade mask to their cocktail attire.
D.J. Adrian Hardy will provide the tunes all night long while guests enjoy food and an open bar. Tickets are available online.
