For years, Emoji has only offered emoticons of the Caucasian variety. But those days are soon over.

The beta version of iOS 8 and OS X 10.10.3, released early to app developers, features a new set of emoji that users can click and hold on to select the skin tone of their choice, according to The Next Web.

Mashable tweeted a photo of the emojis.

In addition to racially diverse emoji characters, there are also families of different varieties, more country flags and an Apple watch to replace the one already available in emoji.

When can we use these fabulous emoticons? According to The Next Web:

There’s no release date for iOS 8.3 or OS X 10.10.3 yet, but Apple is reportedly planning a public beta program which will kick off in mid-March.
