Art in the Open, Philly's biennial art event, returns for three days beginning Friday, May 13. The event celebrates artists, their inspirations and the urban environment.
All of the artists' work will be displayed outside along the Schuylkill Banks, from Fairmount Water Works to South Street.
The art won't just suddenly appear, however. Spectators will be able to watch the creative process over the three-day event and are encouraged to engage with the artists on their projects.
A family day will also take place on Saturday, May 14, at Fairmount Waterworks. There will be crafts, painting, drawing, sculpting and discussion with Art in the Open artists.
