Camden waterfront workouts extended through fall

Due to popularity, exercise classes will continue past summer

Community outdoor workouts are one of the local highlights of summer. The Camden Waterfront has seen such success with this year's free and low-cost classes that they've extended them past the sunny season and into autumn.

Every Thursday in September, Yoga on the Waterfront will take place at Wiggins Marina at Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard from 6-7 p.m. The class is free to all those interested, and free parking is available at MLK Boulevard and Riverside Drive. The yoga class is an all-level accessible class with a killer view.

Workout on the Waterfront, the popular boot camp-style classes led by Diva Richards, also takes place at Wiggins Park Marina, complete with free parking. The class costs $5 for visitors and $3 for Camden residents (cash only), and no sign-up is required. Fit for all levels of participants, the classes will take place every Wednesday between Sept. 9 and Oct. 28 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

The YMCA will be leading Outdoor Family Yoga Tuesdays through Sept. 29 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Johnson Park (101 Cooper St). All ages and levels are welcome to attend the free classes, but the YMCA asks that everyone bring water and a towel.
