Artists have put the final touches on a one-of-a-kind attraction that rests on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean.

Europe's first underwater museum, the Museo Atlantico, features 300 sculptures by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor and promises to be a "must-see dive site for all divers."

“We call it a museum for a very important reason," deCaires Taylor said. "Museums are places of preservation, conservation and education. They’re places where we keep objects of great value to us, where we value them simply for being themselves.”

According to CNN, the museum is located 12 to 15 meters below the water surface of the Spanish island of Lanzarote. Although it opened last March, the project was finally completed this month.

The sculptures are made from environmentally friendly concrete to raise awareness of oceanic issues.
