Years before the advent of modern technology, people often spent hours each day laboring over back-breaking tasks, like gathering food and hauling water. Now a company is offering to save you from another time-sucking chore: canceling your Comcast subscription.

For just $5, a San Francisco-based company called AirPaper will cancel your services.

First, you'll need to provide your name, email, phone, address and Comcast account number, reported Geek.com.

The website promises that it won't use this personal information for anything except freeing you from unwanted cable services, although it wouldn't be a bad idea to read their privacy policy yourself before signing up.

Co-founder Eli Pollak told the Philadelphia Business Journal, "We were really startled by the response we're getting."

In fact, enthusiasm for this service may be more than AirPaper can handle. Its website was offline as of Tuesday morning.

Pollak assured the Business Journal that he bears no ill will against Comcast.

"We don’t hate Comcast at all," he said. "We think this is a big opportunity for Comcast to look at what's a big problem for them. We’re willing to work with them to make this problem easier."
