The Philadelphia Eagles will head into Seattle to face the Seahawks in what should be perhaps their biggest test of the season. Not only are the Seahawks very good, they're very healthy.
Here is the Friday injury report:
• S Terrence Brooks: Special teamer only so far this season.
• TE Zach Ertz: Ertz suffered as hamstring injury during the week of practice. While Ertz has not yet found the end zone this week and is limited in what he can do once he has the ball in his hands, he is the Eagles' second-leading receiver with 302 yards on the season. He has 15 catches for 152 yards over the last two games.
• WR Jordan Matthews: Doug Pederson seems sure Matthews will play this Sunday after suffering back spasms earlier this week. Obviously, even with too many drops, Matthews is the Eagles' best weapon in the passing game.
• RT Lane Johnson (suspended 10 games): The Halapoulivaati Vaitai project continues.
• CB Ron Brooks (IR): As a player, Brooks isn't exactly a world-beater, as he doesn't have a single interception, sack, or forced fumble over his five-year NFL career, however, his loss will further deplete an already thin group at cornerback. In Brooks' absence, Malcolm Jenkins has dropped down into the slot in nickel packages, with Jaylen Watkins coming off the bench to play safety.
• DE Michael Bennett: Bennett is one of the Seahawks' best players. In 2015, he had 52 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, and 11 tackles for loss. This is a big loss for Seattle.
• LB Kevin Pierre-Louis: Undersized but speedy linebacker who is mainly a special teams contributor.
None.
