Thirty new shows pack Plays & Players Theater for Comedy Week.

The final Five Dollar Comedy Week of 2015 is right around the corner. Thirty new original comedy shows will pack the Plays & Players Theater over just seven days from Monday, July 20 through Sunday, July 26.

The high-energy indie festival is a bi-annual event where shows are just $5 and week-long passes are available for $25. The week includes live performances as well as workshops and is produced by writer-comedians Aaron Nevins and Kate Banford.

Banford will host a satirical take on speechmaking on the first night of the festival. She and Nevins will also host that night's secret show. Tuesday afternoon, Nevins will host a workshop on ghost hunting.

Other shows on the lineup include "Buzzworthable," a take on click-bait headlines; "Weeding Out the Stoned," an interactive show where the audience must determine which cast member is sober; and "The Silent Show," a completely silent variety show. The ridiculousness that will ensue during Comedy Week is not to be missed.
