Imaginative finds fill Philadelphia Art Book Fair

Free fair dedicates two days to good-looking, creative tomes

No matter how many e-readers fill the hands of the public, there will always be people who just like the feel of a real book in their hands, who like the look of a well-curated, aesthetically-pleasing bookshelf in their homes. The Philadelphia Art Book Fair is for those people.

Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, the Annex on Filbert in Market East will be filled with more than 50 exhibitors of photo and art publications, zines and limited releases. Representing both the Philadelphia region and 10 states, the list of presses and artists attending includes the local Institute of Contemporary Art, Vox Populi and Aperture

Both days of the fair include hours of exhibition as well as lectures. Decor brand West Elm will furnish a reading room at the fair, Menagerie Coffee will host a cafe, and food trucks Poi Dog, Mobile Awesome and Heart will be available to feed shoppers.
