Outdoor festival PlazaPalooza returns to Graduate Hospital

Enjoy food, beer and live music

Grays Ferry Avenue R. Kennedy/Visit Philadelphia™

This view from Graduate Hospital’s Grays Ferry Avenue shows the proximity of the neighborhood from Center City—an important feature for the young professional residents that are moving into the area every day. Grays Ferry Avenue was named after George Gray, whose family ran the Schuylkill River ferry until it was replaced by a floating bridge during the American Revolution.

PlazaPalooza, Graduate Hospital's annual outdoor festival, will return to the neighborhood on Saturday, May 14 (rain date will be May 15). The event features live music, games, beer and food.

One of Graduate Hospital's hot spots Grace Tavern will have Dogfishead Firefly English Pale Ale, 21st Amendment Watermelon Wheat, Sam Adams Rebel IPA and Sly Fox Pikeland Pils on draft. Food trucks will include The Cow and the Curd, Phoebe's BBQ, Samosa Deb and Tacos Don Memo.

As for activities, there will be bands playing throughout the day and giant jenga, bean bag toss and arts & crafts.

The event will take place at Grays Ferry Triangle, located on Grays Ferry Avenue between 23rd and South streets.
