The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is sticking around for two more weeks this summer.
The annual festival at Franklin Square has been extended through Sunday, Aug. 30. It will continue to run daily from 6 to 11 p.m.
The extension also comes with new deals on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Select dumplings will cost $1 each on Mondays, and carousel rides will be free for adults and children on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, two adults who purchase festival tickets will receive a free round at Philly Mini Golf.
Regular festival admission varies by day. Monday through Thursday tickets cost $28 for adults, $16 for children ages 3-13 and $25 for adults 65 and older and active-duty military members. Friday through Sunday tickets cost $32 for adults, $16 for children and $29 for seniors and active-duty military. Children 2 and younger are free.
Franklin Square remains free to enter during the day, and the lantern displays can be viewed without a ticket during daytime hours. The park closes at 5 p.m. to prepare for the nightly festival. A ticket is required for admission after 6 p.m.
The festival is held rain or shine.
