Eagles-Buccaneers injury report, with analysis: Sam Bradford out

The Eagles' injury report lists nine names this week. As expected, Sam Bradford will not play. The other big name to watch as we get closer to game day remains Jason Peters, who was officially listed as questionable. Here's a look at the Eagles' and Buccaneers' injuries, with analysis.

A look ahead to the 2016 quarterback class: Paxton Lynch edition

With Sam Bradford officially listed as out this week against the Buccaneers, the Eagles will not have a QB start all 16 regular season games for the 21st time in the last 25 years. No team in the NFL has had a higher total over that span. If Bradford is not the Eagles' Week 1 starter in 2016, the Eagles will be starting their sixth different quarterback since 2009. That is incredible instability at the quarterback position.

Week 11 NFL picks

For the gambling degenerates, here are my Week 11 picks. To note, the helmets indicate who I think will win the game, not cover the spread. At the end of the picks, I'll note a few teams that I like based on the spread.

For Eagles, tempo = No Darren Sproles

Of the Eagles skill position players, one of the few players not to appear on the injury report this season has been Darren Sproles. And yet, despite clearly being one of the more dangerous weapons in their offense, Sproles ranks ninth on the team among their skill position players in total snaps:

Chip Kelly thinks Eagles' offensive overhaul is 'overblown'

This offseason, the Eagles' offense went through a significant overhaul when Chip Kelly tried to replace two starting guards on their offensive line, traded for a new quarterback, replaced their running back, and drafted a new starter at wide receiver. Unquestionably, in my opinion, their struggles this season can at least partially be attributed to a lack of continuity.

Recap: Eagles chat with Jimmy Kempski

The Philadelphia Eagles can never just make life easy on their fans. After a huge win on Sunday Night Football in Dallas vs the Cowboys a week ago, the Birds lost to the wretched Dolphins in one of the more horribly played games I've ever seen from the Eagles. But... As always in this atrocious NFC East, the Eagles are still in the hunt, as they remain just a half-game out behind the division-leading New York Giants.

Eagles measure themselves on 'points per drive'

Back in September, we pointed out that because of the fast-paced offense the Eagles run, their statistics are often skewed, both offensively and defensively. For example, in 2014, the Eagles were third in points per game and fifth in points per game. However, they were only 13th in points per drive, and 14th in yards per drive.

Riley Cooper and Miles Austin can't be gone soon enough

When the Eagles signed Miles Austin this offseason, it made no sense whatsoever. He was an old, declining, injury prone receiver, who lacked special teams experience. I'll expand.

Nick Foles benched

After just nine starts with the St. Louis Rams, Nick Foles is no longer "the guy," as head coach Jeff Fisher announced that Case Keenum will be taking over as the starter.
