Police say two homeless men were injured early Thursday morning when they were beaten during a sneak attack in South Philadelphia, NBC10 reports.
The assault occurred around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Broad Street and Oregon Avenue.
Investigators said the suspect approached the men while they were sleeping in Marconi Plaza and struck them in the head with an unknown object. The suspect then ran away.
The victims were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition. One of the men required stitches.
The suspect remains at large.
