The iconic sign at the main gate entrance of the Philadelphia Zoo welcomes its 1.2 million annual visitors.

The Philadelphia Zoo is hosting its 3rd annual Philly Rabbit Run, where attendees can choose to run a 5k through the grounds or take a one-mile walk. Registration for either option is $40.

Due to limited space, early sign-up for the Saturday, March 26 event is recommended. If space allows, there will be walk-up registration the day of the race beginning at 7 a.m. for $45.

The registration fee will also allow attendees admission to the Zoo after the run or walk for the whole day.

Those who stay will enjoy live music from AMP 96.5 FM, after the awards ceremony.

Since the race benefits finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease, the top fundraiser will win a prize.

Both the 5k run and one-mile walk will begin at 8 a.m. Pre-race packet pickup time has yet to be announced.
