Temple police seek suspects who drew racial slurs on roof of car

Three individuals identified as suspects in Temple University Campus Police investigation.

Police at Temple University are investigating after a student discovered a swastika and a racial slur carved out of the snow on top of a parked car nearby campus.

According to authorities, the vehicle was parked on the 2100 block of North Carlisle Street when student Kelly Dawson, who serves as president of Temple's Black Student Union, found the racial and religious insults.

In response to the incident, Temple released a surveillance photo of three potential suspects and issued the following statement:

Temple University condemns the use of these symbols and language in the strongest terms, The incident has been reported to Temple University Campus Police and is actively being investigated. The university will make every effort to identify those responsible, and will hold them accountable.
