A 29-year-old woman and an undercover police officer were shot at while driving in separate incidents overnight in Camden, 6abc reports.
The woman was driving on the 200 block of S. 27th St. toward Benson Avenue just past 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police said she was shot in the back, which caused her to lose control, crash her vehicle into a tree and land on the sidewalk. She was rushed to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition.
One suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and a second was found when he showed up at Kennedy Hospital in Cherry Hill with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, police said. He was later transferred to Cooper Hospital.
An officer in an unmarked police car was shot at while on patrol a couple hours prior.
The officer was on Park Boulevard near Haddon Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday when bullets hit the driver's side and rear door, shattering glass, police said.
Fortunately, the bullets just missed the Camden officer, who was treated for minor injuries at Cooper Hospital and released.
Both shootings remain under investigation.
