Armed suspect shot by police in Frankford Thursday

No injuries were reported

A foot pursuit ended with police shooting and arresting an armed suspect near the Frankford Transportation Center Thursday evening.

According to CBS Philly, police were called to the 1600 block of Pratt Street, near the Frankford Transportation Center, for a report of shots fired by an alleged suspect armed with two guns.

 Police caught up with him and ordered him to drop his weapon. He refused and was shot once in the leg. Police say the suspect did not return fire, CBS Philly reports.

The unidentified suspect was allegedly carrying two guns, including a Glock with an extended magazine that holds over 30 bullets. He is in stable condition and no other injuries were reported.
