When in doubt, share a cat photo.
At least that's how Belgians decided to respond when police asked residents not to share details of their ongoing anti-terrorism raids on social media Sunday evening.
As police searched for Paris attackers in Brussels, Belgians filled Twitter with an abundance of cat photos, along with the hashtag #BrusselsLockdown.
Twitter users from all over shared goofy videos, photos and memes of cats and kittens in an effort to bury any tweets about police operations in the city.

Soldiers patrolled the streets of Brussels, and police detained five more people on the third day of the security lockdown on Monday.
